Testimonials

These are a few of the testimonials from parents that have had an experience with the NC Gaters East Basktetball Club.

My son has been with NC Gaters East for the past two seasons. He has benefited from the program in basketball skills but also teamwork, conditioning, and nutrition. We look forward to another season with Coach Frazier, who provides leadership that promotes personal responsibility in my son. I see my son work hard and benefit from both practice and games as well as coach Frazier's guidance.

The Gaters were William's only AAU experience, and we both could not have been more pleased. Coach Frazier sets high expectations, on and off the court, and its great to watch your son work hard to meet those expectations. Coach Frazier spent dedicated personal time with Will, honing his strengths and giving him support to improve his game. He is more than a coach - he is a true mentor. Although William has aged out, he is looking forward to returning to help with practice when he can and to participate in Coach's Gaters alumni game. Go Gaters!"

My son played 2 years of AAU basketball for Coach Frazier. He loved his coach. He liked his passion for the game and felt he was intense because of how much he cared. He said Coach Frazier was strict and taught him discipline. He said that Coach made him a better basketball player and made him think of basketball as more of a philosophy. Also he felt that they were really good friends.

Coach Frazier has a heart of gold. My son spent two years with the Gaters, but his training and experience was so much more than just basketball skills. The work ethic, team-building, and most of all, the personal pushing and striving to reach deep for the very best in themselves, were among the best parts of being on the team. Coach guided the boys always with kindness and camaraderie, even through the toughest workouts and hardest games. I wish my son could have had four more formative years with Lamont’s influence and good basketball!

Through the NC Gater Basketball program our son not only sharpened his basketball skills, but took away some important tools that will help him to succeed in other life situations as well. New friendships were made on and off the court during the season and some old ones renewed. Coach Frazier and the AAU program helped build our son’s confidence level not only in basketball, but as a young adult entering into society"

We weren't quite sure how to approach the AAU season as it was new to the family and our son. Coach Frazier alleviated all of our concerns and really helped set our expectations for the season ahead. Coach does an amazing job of communicating with the kids and helping them each grow as individuals, both athletically and mentally, in support of the team effort. Our son's basketball skills (all of them) and self-confidence improved immensely over the season and have made him a much greater competitor and more well-rounded young man. We highly recommend Coach Frazier and the NC Gaters East program."

"I had been involved with AAU boys basketball in Atlanta for 9 years as both a coach and parent prior to my youngest son joining Coach Frazier's team. We selected the NC Gaters East 14U team after I had the opportunity to observe a few open practice sessions. I was very impressed by Coach Frazier's demeanor and patience with his players. Our son wanted to shift from playing shooting guard to point guard. At 14U, that is a big shift for a kid who has never been expected to control the flow of the offense, be strong with the ball under pressure every possession, and provide overall on-floor leadership. Coach Frazier gave our son both the tools and opportunity to advance his skills in that role."
